The latest Super Bowl is in the books, and the New York Giants not only won the game, but also injected a little Salsa into society. Receiver Victor Cruz, who exploded onto the scene with 96 catches for 1,536 yards, capped each of his nine touchdowns with a Salsa end zone dance. The Salsa took New York by storm.

Caliente!

The essence of Salsa dancing is an extensive core workout that also leaves you feeling stretched and limber. The front-and-back stepping motion is found in all manner of workouts, similar to doing lunges or spending time on the eliptical trainer. Both men and women can burn quite a few calories in an evening of fiery Salsa dancing.

Part of the Food Group

If one adheres to a sensible diet along with a regular Salsa routine, quite a bit of weight could be lost, and quite a bit of money saved on foods that have four things in common: Sugar, salt, fat and a price tag. In fact, part of said diet could include actual salsa, the kind that goes so well with tortilla chips (or, better yet by nutritionists’s standards, celery).
So you can see how salsa, the food, and Salsa, the dance, can help you tighten your jeans belts – literally (as in your figure) and figuratively (as in your bank account). They are equally worthy of your attention.
